The Incredible Hulk and Green Lantern Movie Details
March 17, 2008There’s a pitch for Green Lantern live action film. Greg Berlanti, the creative genius behind Dirty Sexy Money, Brothers and Sisters, and Eli Stone, is currently penning a script for a live-action Green Lantern flick. Admittedly, I have not seen any of those shows and I have no clue who Greg Berlanti is, but he is a self confessed comic book geek, and that’s good enough for me.
Details on which Green Lantern will star in the film are still unclear. Green Lantern John Stewart is the guy most kids know, probably, because he was the green lantern from the Justice League cartoons.
He was also the main Green Lantern in the Justice League Heroes video game. Although, eventually, you do get to use Hal and Kyle eventually. Unfortunately, the game will force you to use John Stewart for certain stages because it fits into the storyline.
However, the Justice League movie has John Stewart already set to be their Green Lantern, so Berlanti’s Green Lantern may still be Hal Jordan. And, fortunately for Hal Jordan fans, the direct-to-DVD movie Justice League: New Frontier gave Mr. Jordan a lot of new fans, and has increased his grip on his standing as the Green Lantern among kids and the general public.
Personally, I’m totally stoked at the possibilities a project like this could delve into. Think about it - Green Lantern Corps! Kyle Rayner! Guy Gardner! The Guardians! Abin Sur! Sinestro! Killowog! And if Killowog were to appear, if he doesn’t shout out "YOU POOZERS!" every other panel, I’d call shenanigans.

The Incredible Hulk director, Loius Leterrier, provides us with a few new details and insights. He says that the audience will see Bruce transform into the Hulk in minute three. Yes, three minutes into the film, we’ll see Hulk already tearing someone or something a new asshole.
Apparently, the new movie is not an origin story. It starts out with Hulk running from US authorities who want to turn him into some sort of weapon, some sort of super soldier. The movie will have a lot more action and a lot more fighting, which is something I know a lot of Hulk fans are looking forward to.

Or they can make a cameo of John and Kyle Rayner. But I still think Kyle’s GL costume is the best.

You know, I wouldn’t mind if they focused on Guy Garnder entirely.
@Steel
I think so, too. Even though it’s gotten a lot like the others now, it still stands out a bit. I want the one with the crab-mask.
If guy gardner ain’t in it, I’m not interested!
Posted by Ryan at March 18, 2008, 4:11 pmYeah, Kyle has the coolest costume and he’s also a graphic designer which makes it fun and virtually effortless for him to use the ring.
But Hal Jordan has and will always be my favorite GL. He embodies the idealism that was integral in the Silver Age of DCU, a quality that got killed off when comic book companies started churning out these anti-heroes.

Hey man, you mean Allan Scott? As I would very much like to see the Green Flame blaze through the silver screen, I doubt that very highly. Scott is a Golden Age hero, meaning that he might not appeal to the younger generation that these movies are trying to acquire.
Posted by comicology at February 27, 2009, 8:51 amYeah and Alan Scott’s not really of the Corps, but it’ll still be pretty cool if there was some sort of homage scene or cameo, say an Uncle named Alan or whatever.

Green Lantern movie. (orgasm)
Hal Jordan GL would be great, but I’d love to see the other human GLs as well.
Now they seriously, seriously have to make a Sinestro Corps War of some sort in the films eventually. PLEASE.
