ItsJustSomeRandomGuy’s Youtube movies are PURE WIN!
May 8, 2008I want to share with you something I’ve been enjoying for months now. It all started when I was on youtube, searching for some Marvel/DC cinematics that I could sink my geeky fat-laden teeth into, when I came across this:
For those who didn’t notice, this was a parody of the whole PC/Mac thing, done by Mr. ItsJustSomeRandomGuy. and this is what sparked the whole series. I gotta say, that man is a genius. I wish I could hug him for a minute or two someday.
His stories are very well-thought out, and his humor is just spot-on. I would often find myself laughing out loud at something Green Goblin did or said. If there’s one thing I really have to emphasize, it’s the humor! WATCH IT EVEN IF ITS JUST FOR THE HUMOR!
His idea of his universe is so unique and refreshing and familiar, all at once. His After Hours series is just brilliant. I suggest you follow him here.
His characterization is awesome. He takes the the most endearing qualities of each hero (more often than not, at least) and emphasizes them, and makes them speak and act as if they were in a in real-world situation. The most common topic among the heroes is the movie industry of both companies.

The camera work is great, perfect the way he uses it. If it was any more dull or any more dynamic, it wouldn’t come out as nice as it did. The after-effects are nothing spectacular, but that’s what I like about it. It’s so awesome, it doesn’t need particles or 3d or a lot of compositing. What he did with it is very charming, and trust me when I say that’s not a bad thing.
Voice acting is surprisingly good. I’m sure there are very few voice actors, maybe one or two, but amazingly, the voice acting is very accurate, so to speak, and it doesn’t feel fake.
I love how he inserts bits and pieces from the comic book storylines and integrates them into his movies.

I wish I could get him here for an interview, but this guy’s big now. He was a guest at the New York Comic Con.

Yeah, it’s amazing, really. That guy never ceases to amaze me. He’s got a new one up with the Mark III suit from the movie. It’s fantastic.
