Woah. The Incredible Hulk Review
June 17, 2008Hey folks. I’ve been kinda busy with the new job so I haven’t been writing as much as I would like to. However, I made some time for you guys today. Besides, I had to talk about how fucking awesome The Incredible Hulk is. Look, Edward Norton will tell you himself.
See? He said it was awesome.
Okay, maybe it wasn’t that awesome, because the story’s kinda cookie-cutter for The Hulk. Dude goes on rampage, tries to control it, then a bigger threat than the Hulk emerges, Hulk has to go fuck that other guy up. Those aren’t spoilers, bitches. You knew what the story was with the trailer.
However, one doesn’t watch Hulk to be wow-ed by the tear-jerking lines because Hulk speaks like William Shatner in the morning after a wild party aboard the Enterprise. One does not watch Hulk to be thrown into murder mysteries or conspiracy theories, because Hulk solves everything by fucking everything up with his fists.
One watches Hulk for the ASSKICKERY and the people who were expecting just that weren’t disappointed. Not at all. We got tons of asskickery.
The 3D was fantastic, if a little shiny at times, but I guess that can’t be avoided just yet. Movement felt like there was real mass behind the motion. Great stuff. And speaking of movement, the way Blonski moved is exactly the way I expected one who was given super soldier serum would move, if you catch my drift.
Nothing Edward Norton ever touches is bad. He can turn pubic hair into golden strands of finely strewn trapestry. I had my doubts, but it turns out that he’s a FANTASTIC Bruce Banner. He played the part so well. That General Ross guy was cool, too. He played a perfect douchebag general/good father type character. Liv Tyler, not so much. But I blame the script.
Hulk was good and it’s is something you can watch over and over since the story is shit. It gets:
Four She-Hulks out of five! Watch it, I highly recommend it!

Haha, great review. It’s short and to the point. I like that (even though I have nothing better to do). I wasn’t so hot on the cgi but whatever.
