July 29, 2008Hey folks! I need to sell of some action figures again. Why? Because I need to share the awesomeness in exchange for some money. I’m fairly broke right now. Here’s my list:

Note: I’m only selling the Wolverine figure, not the Forge one. At least, not yet. I haven’t opened up the box, so that when there’s a buyer, I will open the box in his/her presence, to ensure that it is brand-spankin’-new!

A short post of AWESOME- MUA 2: Fusion and my favorite scene from Dark Knight.
July 24, 2008Since the SDCC is upon us, there will be tons of news flying out of the woodwork. And here’s my favorite of the bunch so far:
MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 2: FUSION!!! HOLY GOD YES!!! Now is the time to buy a 360. I have to save up enough money to buy a 360. And maybe a 22 inch TV, too. Yeah.
And now, since I will not be writing a review for Dark Knight, because everyone already has. I will simply post this scene, which sums up all my opinions about it rather well.
Are you ready?
July 21, 2008Recently, Comicology heard news of the next big thing set to come to our shores in October. And it is indeed big. You heard it here first, folks, it really is coming. The Manila Comic Con is coming.
Before any of you say anything, no, that’s not the official logo. I just made that up, because it’s so fucking HUGE, it doesn’t have a logo yet. Anyway, Comicology was able to talk to one of the organizers who chose to remain anonymous, because his awesome presence might blind us all. He talked to us about their plans for the event.
Fin Fang Foom Series, Marvel Legends released in the Philippines!
July 18, 2008I squealed like a little bitch earlier today when I made my usual pass around Toy Kingdom at SM Makati. I saw, in the corner of my eye, The Absorbing Man, as I was checking out the Iron Man figure that comes with a car. And lo and behold, they released both waves at the same time. If you’ve got some money lying around, you can put your Fin Fang Foom together now.
HUZZAH! The long wait has finally ended! Although I wasn’t really looking forward to this series, I wanted to see how much they improved the figures in the line. I am, however, a little disappointed. Before I get to that, here’s the line-up:
Batman Gotham Knight- WHATTHEFUCKERY!
July 15, 2008“What the fuck” would describe the entire direct-to-DVD animated of DC’s Dark Knight, Batman. This post may be considered spoilery, but trust me, you’d appreciate the warning before you put that bad boy into your player and get your brain fucked by a man in a rubber bat suit.
Before I go on, like I mentioned earlier, this is going to be spoiler-filled, because there is absolutely no way one can discuss the digitized crack contained within these discs while being spoiler-free. I don’t think you’d be buying this shit for the storyline anyway, so read on anyway.
Movie Iron Man armor VS Extremis armor!
July 10, 2008We’ve all probably seen the Iron Man movie. I’m sure some of you have even seen it more than once. And, the way Marvel markets its movie properties is that it ties it in closely with the comic books. For example, Spider-Man’s organic webbing and for a time, costume (sort of) and Wolvie was made to sort of look like Hugh Jackman for a time.
Similarly, I’m supposing you have seen the Marvel solicits and variants thereof. We’ve noticed that the armor Iron Man uses in some of those is the one Robert Downey, Jr. wears. And no, I don’t mean Viva Las Vegas, which is a movie-tie in of sorts.
Is the movie armor really going to take over? Do we want it to take over? Comicology discusses what we’ve heard through the grapevines! MOVIE ARMOR FOR EXTREMIS ARMOR!? YAY OR NAY?!
Comic Book Reviews! Avengers, Daredevil, and Thor!
July 6, 2008Before I get started, I just have to say that Hancock was made of AWESOME, and it is now my second favorite superhero movie of all time. The storyline was fantastic, the effects were great, the cinematography was very well done and the script made everything work very well.
Anyway, yeah, we’ll make this short and sweet. We’ve got five books to review this week, because again, I’m still poor.
Five Magnetos is the perfect score for this week’s reviews. Okay, let’s get to it.
Punisher: War Zone! Baddie made me excited!
July 5, 2008A few weeks ago, I saw Baddie plurk about the new Punisher: War Zone posters and he said he got really excited. I decided to check what the fuck he was talking about, as he sometimes says things that a) make absolutely no sense whatsoever because he does a lot of drugs from a place called Los BaƱos or b) he’s a fountain of knowledge that knows no emptiness.
Fortunately for me, on that day, he was a good source of information. He didn’t smoke as much drugs and drink like a man going through a tough divorce that day. And that’s rare.
Anyway, yeah, he pointed me to the direction of the new Punisher posters. These are sweet, I tells ya.
Here are the rest:
Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow! My geek boner will never die now.
July 4, 2008I’ve always liked those direct to DVD movies that Marvel and DC come out with. They’re non-canon and they’re really fun. You could really see the thought and effort put into these things. I loved The Invincible Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Death of Superman, and Justice League: New Frontier (which reminds me, I haven’t watched that in over 5 days, I have to see it again).
So, when the announcement was made that they were coming out with Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow, I got goddamn excited. I was beyond fucking excited. I was having a seizure of geek pleasure.
