There's no place like Space Sector 2814.

Don "War Machine" Cheadle- I don’t get it either.

October 22, 2008

We’ve all probably heard that Terrence Howard has been replaced by Don Cheadle, to play James Rhodes (War Machine) in Iron Man II. The rumors say it’s about money, but regardless of the reason, Howard doesn’t seem to be on the list for sequel to the Marvel summer blockbuster hit.

The question on my mind now is WHY THE FUCK DID YOU CAST DON CHEADLE INSTEAD?!

I’m quoting a friend of mine here- “He looks like he hasn’t had a hot meal in 3 years.” When I look at Don Cheadle, I don’t think “AWESOME WAR MACHINE!,” I think “He’s about to do a funny!” or he’d make a good “innocent bystander.” (more…)

Comic Book Reviews- Moon Knight, Avengers and other stuff

October 7, 2008

Because of my meager budget and poor reading ability, I have come here before you once more to review a few more titles. I’ve got Moon Knight #22, Daredevil #111, Captain America #42, The Mighty Avengers #18, The New Avengers #45, The Immortal Iron Fist: Orson Randall and The Death Queen of California #1, Amazing Spider-Man #572, War Machine: Weapons of SHEILD (in place of Iron Man: Director of SHIELD) #33 and Deadpool #2.

I liked the Deadpool issue and since I’m a big Bob, Agent of Hydra fanboy, they will be our rating system this time around. 5 Bob, Agent of Hydras is a perfect score, and no Bob, Agent of Hydras means you should burn that comic book NOW.

The State of 6 inch MLs in the Philippines

October 6, 2008

With Hasbro producing real crappers and having their products warm the pegs for months on end until the retailers decide to just melt the plastic in the toys to make more cheaply made shit, there is no doubt in my mind that Hasbro knew they had to do something drastic to keep the 6″ ML series alive. I guess in a way, we should be thankful, because after all the crap they’ve produced, they still keep trying to improve their line, and they said they’d keep the whole thing going.

But at what cost? Pretty high, I’d say. At $9.99-$15 a figure, SRP. And those prices are for the fortunate Americans who have access to a Target or Wal-Mart.

I present to you now the bane of Philippine ML collecting- EXCLUSIVES!

How does Hasbro keep the line that produced tons of peg warmers alive and kicking? Well, they did a few things-
