2009 Eisner Nominees!

The Oscars of the comic book industry is upon us yet again! I don’t know exactly who calls it the Oscars of the industry (it could just be me, really) but there’s gotta be some other guy out there who does.

Anyway, for those who are uninformed, the Eisner Awards recognizes incredible achievements and talent within the comic book industry, usually given out during SDCC. It is named after Will Eisner, the guy who created The Spirit- the movie of which was butchered by Frank Miller. It seems to have started in 1987, after taking over the Jack Kirby awards. Confusing?
