LEE777 of CBM Casts the Avengers- ALL OF THEM.

July 31, 2009

I love Comicbookmovie.com. Sure, for some reason, that website is unpopular among some circles, but I trust their reviews and enjoy reading their articles. This morning, as I was browsing the site, I came across this post that casts all of the Avengers, from the original Avengers, to the West Coast Avengers, to the Dark Avengers, Young Avengersand even the Great Lake ones.

Some of these I agree with, and some of them, especially a couple of the current exisiting castings, are way off in my own humble opinion. What really piqued my interest are the pictures. Tits and comic books = Winning Combination.

Metro Comic Con 2009 Update: Interview with Ernest Hernandez

July 30, 2009

As Metro Comic Con 2009 approaches, news about the event floods the Internet and certain social circles. With because of all this hype, it’s easy to get lost in one’s excitement. I even went ahead and bought my tickets early. I heard early ticket buyers are entitled to a raffle draw, and the prizes are statues. I’m not sure which ones though. I felt like I had to find out.

To make sense of it all, I caught up with one of the organizers of the event, Mr. Ernest Hernandez. He’s here to enlighten us.

Anime Iron Man and Anime Wolverine

July 27, 2009

People who know me know that I’m not the biggest anime fan. I hate how they spend 80% of the time fucking explaining how they’re going to kill each other, and 10% of the time with that huge fucking sweat drop. When the action does finally start, it is fucking epic. The only anime that I have ever really fully went geek for was Avatar: The Last Airbender and purist motherfuckers say it’s not even real anime because it’s American-produced.

Over the San Diego Comic Con weekend, Marvel announced their animation projects, and the ones that I felt I had to outright ignore were the anime ones. However, this morning, as I was going through my Plurk, I saw their trailers. Ade Magnaye was kind enough to post the trailers. Hmm.

The Iron Man anime seems to be quite interesting. Although there are no clips of him outside the armor, we can only hope he isn’t some nubile girly man motherfucker with a high pitched voice and girly demeanor. Unfortunately, I am almost 100% sure that this is the route they’ll have Tony take.

SDCC Iron Man News (I am now screaming like a little girl)

July 25, 2009

SDCC is like Christmas come early for me. Difference is, the only people we give gifts to are Marvel and Hasbro. Know what I’ve really been excited for? Iron Man 2. I was curious as to what scale the figures would come out in. I was speculating we’d see 3.75 inchers because of the Wolvie movie and all.

And the barrage of news made me more eager to do three things:

1. Watch the movie
2. Get an Xbox 360
3. Beef up my 3.75″ Iron Man Armory

SDCC Toy News Made Me Wet My Shorts

July 24, 2009

I’m currently writing this in a fidgety state. I am so fucking excited about the news pouring out of the San Diego Comic Con that I can barely contain myself. I literally feel as if my nuts are on the brink of bursting. News will be coming out of every orifice the Internet has to offer, so I’m not going to say this is news. I’m merely sharing with you guys my excitement, for I can barely contain it. I am so excited that, ever since I decided to stop smoking, this is the most congested my chest has felt.

Although I am equally excited for both the Marvel Legends and the Marvel Universe line, I can’t help but feel slightly discouraged by the amount of money they’ll be charging for these beauties.

Slangards’ Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow

July 22, 2009

Remember in the last post, I said Joe collectors would be very happy in the next coming months because of the barrage of new figures Hasbro recently released? Playkit was kind enough to bring a lot of them. And even if they didn’t, we can always count on our specialty store brothers, yeah?

A Whole Lot of Shit Is Happening

July 20, 2009

So, a whole lot of shit is happening everywhere. Let’s go through them really quick. Some of them are quite exciting, one is dreadful news (sort of) and some shit that I can’t really understand just yet. Let’s go.

http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/1738/bannermds.jpg

These things, they aren’t exactly news. They’ve been around for about a week or more now; all I’m trying to do is to make sense of it all. Why? Because I like to think my opinion matters.

First things first.

Birthday Haul!

July 8, 2009

07/08/09 marks my 26th pathetic year of existence on this planet. However, on the very same day, my life became a little less empty and a little bit more fulfilled because of this:

Lo and behold, the birthday gift from the girlfriend! What magnificent, wonderous thing could it possibly contain?!

Paper Inside (Poor Man’s Mighty Muggs)

July 7, 2009

This is further proof that my girlfriend is as awesome as they come. And, dare I say it, more awesome than you. She is a whole head and shoulders awesomer than you. Why, you ask? Because she made these:

http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/2829/ddandcappaper.jpg

Yeah, man. You read that right- she made them, with her bare hands and womanly care. Of course, she had a little help. She went to Paper Inside. With the help of Paper Inside, even you can make the Tumbler, Hulk, Bumblebee or Yoda with your arts and crafts scissors, pre-school brain and mongoloidal motor functions.

Birthday 2009 Wishlist

July 1, 2009

So, July is upon us and in 8 days, I’m turning a very old 26 years old while accomplishing nothing of note in this life, but like every major gift giving event, I have to come up with a wish list. I used to do it over my personal blog but I don’t update that anymore and the people who read that have either moved on or hate me. And by moved on, I mean they died.

http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/4073/cakejmq.jpg

My list is quite simple this year, action-figure-wise because I’m seriously slowing down on collecting. I’m cutting down on everything because I am getting poorer and poorer by the minute. Hell, my stack is as thin as a horse in a desert.  Let’s get to the list:
