3.75 Captain America Haul!

August 16, 2009

Just yesterday, I was lucky enough to have spotted 3 sets of Secret Wars two-packs with Captain America and Klaw. Those things sold out like twinkies at a fat camp. Okay, so I may have uttered “FUCK YES MOTHER FUCKER” three times when I saw the figures while in the company of two 5 year olds but I don’t think they picked up on my foul language

The package includes one figure of 616 Captain America with his shield, Klaw and Secret Wars#1, a reprint. For P899, this may already be considered cheap because each 3.75″ figure goes for P550. So at P900, you get two figures and a comic book. Not bad.

I only really just wanted the 616 Captain America, so I’m selling off the Klaw with the comic book. Details on that a bit later. Let’s talk about Cap first.

Cap has sculpted chain mail and a sculpted star on his torso. He comes with a sculpted ammo belt, mask wings and cuffed boots and gloves. The details are great, especially considering that this is 3.75 incher.

The paint is also good, with very minimal bleeding. There’s some dark blue wash on Cap’s torso, which doens’t look quite right but I appreciate the effort, Hasbro. The A on his forehead is also done well, with no bleeding whatsoever. At first glance, I thought his eyes were infected with the blue paint from his mask, but it turns out they’re just Cap’s eye color. Nice little detail added there. The star is nicely painted, and so are his pouches. Each one has a painted on button.

Cap’s shield is what made me fall in love with this item. It’s simple, yet it’s so strikingly iconic and perfect. This is why I also love the ML FO Captain America.

His articulation is standard for 3.75 inchers- neck ball, shoulder, bicep, elbow, glove swivel, ab crunch, torso swivel, T-pin legs, double jointed knees and the ankle. His articulation isn’t so good. I can’t even pose him to look like he’s about to throw his shield because his other hand won’t reach the shield if he was wearing it on the other hand. Standing him up in different poses was limited by the T-pin legs- a feature that criples all MU figs. Please, Hasbro, ball-joint legs!

616 Cap, all in all, a solid figure.

Klaw looks like a great figure. He’s got a brand new head sculpt and a brand new “claw” sculpt, made just for him. He shares the Iron Fist body though. I haven’t even touched him. He’s still practically carded. I’m selling him, LOC, with a damaged comic book (I kinda stabbed it as I was trying to get Cap out) for only P400! That’s way below SRP for one figure.

I’m also selling off X-Men Origins: Wolverine Gambit and Iceman, both loose.

Both figures have only been displayed. I am selling them at P400 each! That’s still way below SRP! If interested, leave a comment or text me at 0922-8157452!

@James

Seriously, it was just dumb luck. I don’t want to sell it anymore, but I already have a buyer. :(

Great.

I’m still waiting on those new XMOW waves. It’s been a while.
